Rachel Sandora has been an integral part of the Nationwide team since 2013, a journey that started when she answered a Craigslist ad. Her path to Nationwide was shaped by her psychology degree from The College of New Jersey and a strong desire to help others, cultivated during 10 years of work at an adult daycare center for people with disabilities and dementia. Though she once planned to attend law school to advocate for people with disabilities, she found her calling at Nationwide—and has never looked back.
Rachel grew up as a daddy’s girl in a close-knit family with three brothers, who are not only her best friends but also her favorite people in the world. As Irish twins, they were born just over a year apart, making their bond even stronger. Lifelong friendships are also important to Rachel; she treasures her best friends, Kelli and Amanda, who have been constants in her life for 30 and 18 years, respectively.
One of Rachel’s proudest accomplishments at Nationwide is seeing former customer service representatives she’s mentored thrive within the organization. She gets emotional whenever Paylocity milestones remind her how far they’ve come—recently celebrating 10 years for one of her team members.
Outside of work, Rachel is married to the light of her life, Mark Sandora, who also works at Nationwide. The couple shares their home with two large and lovable dogs: Hank, a 12-year-old Alaskan Malamute, and Sasha, a 2-year-old St. Berhusky.
Rachel’s warmth, leadership, and dedication continue to leave a lasting impact on Nationwide and the people around her. Her story is a testament to the power of embracing unexpected opportunities and helping others grow.

What a wonderful, eventful, and chaotic 2024 it’s been! We had some challenges from the market; however, our team was able to meaningfully support our client partners. Many of our clients were actively growing and entering new business lines. To support those efforts, we introduced new products, grew our footprint to include new verticals including default valuations, and adapted to improve our KPIs to meet client needs. We accomplished this through the efforts of every department and every individual and strengthened our internal and external collaboration. I’m so proud of how we listen and react to this ever-shifting market, but most importantly, I’m humbled by the dedication, passion, and support that everyone on our team brings every day. Our team keeps growing, and we will take on new challenges and grow our offerings further. In particular, watch for new products and technology solutions.
